Review: One Week to Score

Author Kate Meader
Format e-ARC
Print Length 195 pages
Publisher Entangled Brazen
Published July 11, 2016

A sexy category romance from Entangled's Brazen imprint . . .

He’s the man she loves to hate . . .

Olivia Kane’s wedding day has just imploded spectacularly. Shots lined up at the bar? Bring it. Hot stranger on the hook? Come on down. What this party does not need is six feet and change of home-grown Texas cockiness in the form of her brother’s best friend, the man who broke her heart seven years ago.

She’s the woman he has to have . . .

Flynn Cross won’t stand by while Liv finds sensual solace in the arms of a stranger, not when his own hard-for-her body is more than up for the task. For one week, he’ll make her honeymoon-for-one a sizzling party for two.

Breaking the rules, one steamy night at a time . . .

But the taboo they’re breaking is only the beginning . . . and Flynn’s part in Liv’s wedding debacle could bring about their end.

My Opinion

*This book is recommended for the over 18 crowd.*

Thank you to Entangled and Netgalley for allowing me to review this novel. This in no way influenced my review.

One Week to Score is a fun, fast read with a lot of steamy in between.

So what do you do when you find your future husband with another woman? On your wedding day, in your wedding dress- you go on your honeymoon alone. Unless you are Olivia Kane and your worse frienemy comes along- Flynn Cross. Flynn promises to give her all that she wants and needs instead of letting her bed be a carousal for strangers. Does it matter that he is her brothers bestie? The answer here my friend is no.

Olivia is a gal who can get knocked down, knowing she will get right back up again. She ex-fiancĂ©, friends, family will never keep her down. Always second fiddle to her brother, a role that she doesn’t resent but accepts with a warm heart. She is smart, sexy and outgoing. She is from Texas which means she has a mouth from the south- in the right company she could curse with the best of them. Just so you know Flynn is the right company.

Flynn has issues, what guy doesn’t. A lot of the issues that have prevented them from getting together in the past are issues in his head only. He realizes on Olivia’s wedding day that he wants to step up and be with her. Which leads to an awkward situation, until his date does what she does with the person she does it with. Then one thing leads to another and he tries to protect her. Which may or may not be what she wanted. Bottomline, man has got it bad for Olivia.

One Week to Score is about a girl and a boy who stop running from their feelings and start embracing them. Olivia and Flynn should have been together regardless of the issues that prevented them from doing so years ago. Theirs is a hot story, a middle of August in Georgia without an air conditioner kinda hot. If you are looking for an emotionally funny book with a lot of adult scenes this is your book. The series itself is great, while the books are stand-alone it may be more fun to read them all at once.

My Rating 4 out of 5 stars
