Fans of Keri Arthur will love the Weird Girls, four sisters cursed with supernatural powers. In Cecy Robson’s latest urban fantasy romance, the search is on for an unholy grail, while evil is licking its wounds—and looking for revenge.

The preternatural world is changing. After a massive magical throwdown tore apart the established order, the dark elements are rebuilding their ranks unopposed. Celia Wird’s world is changing, too. She’s the mate of the pureblood were Aric, and his Warriors are honor-bound to protect her family as she and her sisters recover from unimaginable horrors.

Celia hesitates to reveal the true extent of the Wird sisters’ trauma, but they aren’t the only ones keeping secrets: Aric and the werewolf Elders are tracking a stone that grants limitless power. So is a tough coven of witches. Then Misha, a master vampire with his own plans for the stone, sends Celia after it. Can she and the vamps beat both the weres and the witches to the treasure before it falls into the wrong hands?

Fearing for Celia’s safety, Aric begs her to stay out of the hunt. What they don’t realize is that they’re the ones being hunted. But Celia’s ready to prove that she’s not easy prey.

My Opinion

A Curse Unbroken is an emotional roller coaster ride from start to finish. As the last book in the Weird Girls series, Celia and Aric’s story is finished all the while beautifully setting up Taran’s take of love and heartbreak. This is one reader who is literally chomping at the bit for more.

Celia and Aric have had a rocky start but it finally looks like they are going to get their almost HEA. After Anara’s attack they are finally putting the pieces of their broken hearts together. Aric is patient as Celia comes to terms with the loss of ever having children.

Aric suddenly gets a summons by the Wolf Council at the same time that Celia is called upon by Misha- their tasks are the same. Recover a stone that grants it’s owner their every desire…but at an evil cost. Aric is determined that Celia be safe but she refuses to be a stay at home-mate.

When Celia accidently creates a bond with the stone some cry a foul but the reality is the stone may just need Celia more than it’s enemies need it.

OMG! Taran and Gemini my absolute favorite support couple are going through something that has me very afraid for their relationship. Why oh why does this balanced couple have to have turbulence on the horizon….oh yeah…. So we can read their story. Well done Mrs. Robson well done.

Am I the only one thinking that Bren and Emme are about to get closer than ever? Am I the only one secretly cheering this on?

A Curse Unbroken is just the kind of story that captivates the audience into having a book hangover the next day. Oh you know what I am talking about- you stayed up all night to finish the tale. You only got two hours of sleep and after an entire pot of coffee you stubble to the car to go to work.

My Rating 5 out of 5 stars
