Ricky Lee has no plans of getting serious about anyone, but he will protect Toni Jean-Louis Parker. Not just because he’s been hired to do so, but because it’s the right thing to do. And if that means traveling around the country with one complicated She-jackal, dealing with chocolate-eating wild dogs, instigating trouble between his brothers, and having the most amazing sex he’s ever had…well, who said his job didn’t have perks?

Toni doesn’t know how she keeps getting herself into these situations. But even she has to admit there’s something about Ricky Lee Reed that she finds kind of interesting…and downright sexy. Now they just have to survive long enough to figure out if what they have is worth fighting for…

My Opinion

Toni has a severe case of eldest child syndrome. She must protect her siblings from all harm- especially from themselves. Toni recognizes that it is her responsibility since she is the normal one. Normal one as in average- average looks, average grace, average brains just average. Being average isn’t bad but when you are average in a group of people who are above average well… you know it and it can be daunting. So daunting in fact that she is encouraged by her aunt to go out and get a job.

She does just that- not just any job but one with Ric Van Holtz company- as a director of team travel and promotions. Her very first job and she is making six figures! Instead of jumping up and down for joy her siblings are trying to guilt her into quitting. She understands their need and just has to finish a task first- going to Russia to insure a hockey game.

Who does her boss send with her for protection- one Ricky Lee, a wolf shifter with the patience of Job. Ricky Lee keeps running into Toni at the beginning of the book- each time of her siblings looks over at him and asks “Are you my daddy?” This is their way of keeping guys away from Toni. Ricky Lee instead is just amused. Yepper, a male with a sense of humor. Ricky Lee is attracted to Toni, but thinks nothing of it. Until that is while in Russia her family is in danger. Ricky Lee’s security company steps in and hands the situation so that the Russian deal can go through.

Toni is an interesting a gal- having to run interference for her siblings has been some serious on the job training. She isn’t one to complain about the work but instead just does it. She is confused about Ricky Lee’s attraction to her which comes off as adorable. Ricky Lee is interesting in that he denies feelings for Toni yet helps her time and time again. He does have a stalkerish ex-girlfriend but Toni’s bestie will handle that.

The family aspect of A Wolf With Benefits is entertaining. The love between the siblings is evident even as they try to sabotage Toni’s career. Toni grows a lot during the book in areas that she didn’t even know she need to grow in.

A Wolf With Benefits is an entertaining tale. If you have the time, you should check it out.

  2. Ricky sounds like a great character. I love a man with a good sense of humor. Toni's siblings sound like a fun and interesting group. Although, I would be mortified, if they were asking guys I liked, "Are you my daddy?" LOL Great Review Angela :)
