Swoon Thursday (11) Catching Fire

The fabulous girls over at YA Bound created this super HOT meme. Here's how it works.

From the book you’re currently reading, or one you just finished, tell us what made you SWOON. What got your heart pounding, your skin tingling, and your stomach fluttering.
Shout it out on Twitter with the hashtag #YABound, post it here in the comments, or grab the adorable button above and share it on your blog! I want to know & so do the gals at YABound!

He tilts his forehead down to rest on mine and pulls me closer. His skin, his whole being, radiates heat from being so near the fire, and I close my eyes, soaking in his warmth. I breathe in the smell of snow-dampened leather and smoke and apples, the smell of all those wintery days we shared before the Games. I don't try to move away. Why should I, anyway? His voice drops to a whisper. "I love you."

"Because I don't want you forgetting how different our circumstances are. If you die, and I live, there's no life or me at all back in District Twelve. You're my whole life," he says. "I would never be happy again."

The book in comparison to the movie has three more extra scenes. Were they critical to the storyline- no. Was the book better than the movie-no. It did allow us to see more inside Katniss' head though. Which was nice, since there were times I wanted to shake her and tell her she was being silly. She needed to woman up- let go of Gale and fall madly in love with Peeta. Then again can she really love in a society like hers?

  1. You're killing me with this series... in a nice way.
I really need to move it up my TBR list. Then watch the movie.
